This is my own creation, any similarities to other
tutorials is purely coincidental and unintentional.

 

DOWNLOAD SUPPLIES HERE:

Needed:

Selections and color pallet is available in the  zipfile
Place all your selections in your selections folder under your PSP files in your documents folder.

Right click on my color pallet and save it to your psp folders for later use.


Color choices are yours on the second one but please follow my color choices to turn in as part 1 of the assinment.


Let's get started


 
1.   New image 206 x 500


  2.   Rename raster 1 bk

 3.   New raster layer and rename it ballerina1


 4.   Go to selections/load save selections/load selections from disk. Look for cacballerina1


 5.   Make you settings the same as mine above and click okay

 6.   You should now have a set of marching ants at the bottom of your layer like so:


 7.   From the color pallet choose the medium pink:


 8.   Flood fill your slippers with the pink.


 9.   Go to selections/float then to effects/3d effects/cutout and apply this cutout.

        

10.   Selections/select none.

11.   New raster layer rename it ballarina2.


12.   Go to selections/load save selections/load selections from disk. Look for cacballarina2.

13.   Click okay once you have found it.

14.   Flood fill it white. Now go to selections/float then to effects/3d effects/cut out and apply the same cut out as you did before.

15.   Selections/select none

16.   Add a new raster layer and rename it ballarina3.

17.   Go to selections/load save selections/load selections from disk. Look for cacballarina3.

18.   Use the same color that I did on the example below and flood fill your selection.

        

19.   Go to selections/float then to effects/3d effects/cutout and use the same cutout as you did before but this time change the color of the cut out to #774918.

20.   Selections/select none.

21.   Add a new raster layer and rename it ballarina4. 

22.   Go to selections/load save selections/load selections from disk. Look for cacballarina4.
       

23.   Flood fill with white. Go to selections/float and then to effects/3d effects cutout and apply the same cut out only use this color as your flood color #f1b7b6.

24.   Selections/select none.

25.   Double click on ballarina4 layer and lower the opacity to 30.

26.   Double click on ballarina2 and lower the opacity to 50.

This is what my lower half looks like now including the layers.

27.   Activate ballarina4 layer then add a new raster layer rename it ballarina5.

28.   Go to selections/load save selections/load selections from disk. Look for cacballarina5.

29.   Floodfill with #dac785.


30.   Go to selections/float then to effects/ed effects/cutout and apply the same cut out as before only use this color as your flood color #774918.

31.   Selectoins/select none

32.   New raster layer and rename it ballarina6.

33.   Go to selections/load save selections/load selections from disk. Look for cacballarina6.

34.   Floodfill the lips with any color you choose.  I used #902626.

35.   Selectoins/select none

36.   New raster layer and rename it ballarine7.

37.   Go to selections/load save selections/load selections from disk. Look for cacballarina7.

38.   Floodfill with #f1b7b6.

39.   Go to selections/float then to effects/ed effects/cutout and apply the same cut out as before only use this color as your flood color #902626.

40.   Selectiolns/select none.

41.   Add a new raster layer and rename it ballarina8.


42.   Go to selections/load save selections/load selections from disk. Look for cacballarina8.

43.   Floodfill with #902626.

44.   Selections/select none.

45.   Add a new raster layer and rename it ballarina9.

46.   Go to selections/load save selections/load selections from disk. Look for cacballarina9.

47.   This is the hair color so choose what color you would like to use.

48.    Selection/select none.

49.   Activate layer ballarina3.

50.   Add a new raster layer and rename it ballarina10.

51.   Go to selections/load save selections/load selections from disk. Look for cacballarina10.

52.    Flood fill with #f1b7b6.

53.    Go to selections/float then to effects/ed effects/cutout and apply the same cut out as before only use this color as your flood color #902626.

54.    Selections/select none.

55.    Activate layer ballarina9 and add a new raster layer rename it ballarina11.  Here is a view of what my layers look like now:
 

56.  Go to selections/load save selections/load selections from disk. Look for cacballarina11.

57.   Flood fill it with #af8462.

58    Selections/select none.

59.   Right click on your last layer ballarina11 and merge/visible.

60.   File/save as/png.

Assigment:

1.  Send a completed ballarina in based on the outline of the lessons.

2.  Send in another ballarina this time play around with colors to see what results you get, send that one is as well as the 1st one for credit.

If you have found that I have left something out that would make it easier to understand then please don't hesitate to let me know.  I enjoy making it as easy as I can but please remember this lesson is designed for the more advance student and by now you should have the tools down.
