Advance Bumble Bee Lesson 5

In Honey Bees you had a lesson using your Selection Tool to add
Pictures to some Film Strips: We are going to build on that lesson
now by animating the Film Strip:

DOWNLOAD SUPPLIES HERE:



Step 1:   Open a New Image 500 x 500 Transparent background

Step 2:   Flood fill the Background with: #BEB9B5

Step 3:   Copy and Paste the Misted Courtyard into the Center of your Project:

Step 4:   Lower the Opacity to:48

Step 5:   Add New Raster Layer / Name it Film Strip 1

Step 6:   Selections/ Select all

Step 7:   Copy Film Strip_Patao and paste into Selection

Step 8:   Lower the Opacity to: 16

Step 9:   Duplicate / Rename Film Strip 2

Step 10:   Image/ flip

Step 11:   Selections/ Select None/ See my Example:

EXAMPLE:


Step 12:   Open a New Image 200 x 200 Transparent background

Step 13:   Selections/ Select all

Step 14:   Copy the Single Film Strip and Paste into Selection

Step 15:   Create a New Raster Layer/ Name it Graphic

Step 16:   Move the Graphic Layer under the Film Strip

Step 17:   Selections/ Select all on the Graphic Layer

Step 18:   Choose one of the graphics for a background in the Film Strip; Copy Graphic and Paste into Selection on Graphic Layer

Step 19:   Lower the Opacity to 70; Select None

Step 20:   Copy and Paste the Girl As a New Layer (reposition the girl so that her head is in the middle of the Film Strip); name the layer Girl

Step 21:   Lower the Opacity to 80

Step 22:   On the Film Strip layer, with the Magic Wand, click inside the middle of the Film Strip; Selections/ Invert

Step 23:   Making sure the Girl Layer is active/ Delete; repeat this step on the Graphic Layer : See my Example:

EXAMPLE:


Select None

Step 24:   Close off the Girl and Copy Merged

Step 25:   Paste into the Garden Project: rename Right Strip: and Postion: See Example:

Step 26:   Duplicate / Rename Left Strip

Step 27:   Image/ Mirror

Step 30:   Go back to the Film Strip and Open the Girl:

Step 31:   Copy Merged / Paste as new layer in Garden Project; rename Girl Strip

Step 32:   Position it like this: See example:

Step 33:   Copy Girl and Paste as New Layer: rename Girl : See Example for Position:

Step 34:   Open New Image 500 x 150 Transparent background: rename layer Background

Step 35:   Copy the Single Film Strip and Paste it as a new layer into the New Image;

Step 36:   Place a second Copy of the Strip like the next Example:

Step 37:   Place one more Copy like the next Example:

Step 38:   Close off the Transparent Background and Merge Visible:

Step 39:   Rename layer/ Film Strip

Step 40:   With Magic Wand: Click inside the First Frame of the
Film Strip Like this: See my Example:

Step 41:   Selections/ Modify/ Expand / 1

Step 42:   Add new Raster Layer under Film Strip Layer

Step 43:   Name if Film Graphics

Step 44:   Copy the first Image you would like in the Film:

Step 45:   Paste into Selection on the Film Graphics layer: See my Example:

Step 46:   Selections/ Select None

Step 47:   On the Film Strip layer, go to the Second Frame of the Film and with Magic Wand Select it:

Step 48:   Selection/ Modify/ Expand/ 1

Step 49:   Copy the second Image you would like in the Film

Step 50:   Paste into Selection on the Film Graphics layer/ See Example:

Step 51:   Selections/ Select None

Step 52:   On the Film Strip layer, with Magic Wand Select the Last Frame

Step 53:   Selections/ Modify/ Expand /1

Step 54:   Copy the third Image you would like in the Film

With Graphics Layer Active/ Paste into Selection on the Film Graphics layer

EXAMPLE:


Step 55:   Selections/ Select None

Step 56:   With your Moving tool: Film Graphics layer active: Move the Film Graphics down so that
The 3rd Graphic sits in first frame: See Example:

Step 57:   On the Film Strip layer, with the Magic Wand Select Frame 2 and Expand / 1

Step 58:   Copy the fourth Image you would like in the Film

With Graphics Layer Active/ Paste into Selection on the Film Graphics layer

Step 59:   Continue to do this until you have 6 Graphics in the Graphic Strip:

Step 60:   Make Background layer active: Flood Fill with Black

Step 61:   With the Selection Tool/ Set on Rectangle/ Make a Selection like this:

Step 62:   Selections/ Invert

Step 63:   Make sure you have the Black Background Layer Active/ Delete

EXAMPLE: Before

Step 64:   Selections/ Select None

Step 65:   With the Film Strip layer active, with the Magic Wand/ Click outside the Film Strip:

Step 66:   Selections/ Invert: See my Example:

Step 67:   With the First graphic in Frame 1 / Copy Merged
( With the Marching Ants it will only copy Merged the Selected area)

Step 68:   Paste into A/S as a New Animation:

Step 69:   Back to PSP: with the Moving Tool/ Move the Graphic that is in Frame 2 into Frame 1/

Step 70:   Copy Merged

Step 71:   Paste after Current in A/S as Frame 2

Step 72:   Continue to move the Graphics in PSP: Copying and Pasting into AS until you have 4 frames in AS:

Step 73:   In A/S Select all Frames and Set the Speed to 35

Step 74:   Check the Animation and save

Step 75:   Back in PSP Copy Merged the Girl Project:

Step 76:   Paste as a new Image:

Step 77:   Create a frame: See Example for my Frame:

Step 78:   Copy and Paste into A/S as a New Animation

Step 79:   Duplicate it until you have 4 Frames:

Step 80:   Select all Frames in the Film Strip and Copy

Step 81:   Select all Frames in the Girl and Paste into Selection: see my Example for Postion:

Step 82:   Copy the Girl tube from your Layered Project and Paste as a new Animation in A/S

Step 83:   Duplicate her until you have 4 Frames:
