This is an easy framing lessons and for this one you will need to use your own supplies.  You want to use an image that you have added a background to it. Let your creativity shine let me see what you have learned. After you have your image completed move on to the next steps.


1. Your image should be no larger than 500 x 500 pixels.

2. Pick a light color for your foreground and a dark color for you background.

3. Image add border 10 symmetric. Use an off color so that its easier to flood fill.

4. Use your magic wand and click in your border and flood fill it with your dark color.


5. Selection/select none.

6. Image add border 10 symmetric.  Use again an off color on your border 

7. Use your magic wand and click in your border and flood fill it with your light color.

8. Selection/select none.

9. Image add border 20 symmetric.  Use again an off color on your border

10. Use your magic wand and click in your border and flood fill it with your dark color.

11. Selection/select none.

12. Image add border 20 symmetric.  Use again an off color on your border

13. Use your magic wand and click in your border and flood fill it with your light color.

14. Selection/select none.

15. Image add border 30 symmetric.  Use again an off color on your border

16. Use your magic wand and click in your border and flood fill it with your dark color.

17. Selection/select none

18. Click on your magic wand and make your settings like mine below.

19. Take your magic wand and click in all the dark borders like so:

20. After you have all your borders selected go to effects/distortion effects/spiky halo and use my settings below.  Note that you may have to play with the color in the spiky halo effect.  Choose something that complements what your framing.

21. Effects/inner bevel and apply this bevel. Again play around with the bevel color to get the desired effect.  I used white.

22. Selections/select none.

23. Now take your magic wand and select the light borders like so:



24. Go to adjust/add-remove noise/add noise and make it the same as I have below:



25. Keep selected and go to selections/float.

26. Go to effects/3d effects/cut out and apply this setting.



27. Selections/select none.

28. Add your watermark.  Your free to decorate it up by adding corners to it or any other type of added images that you want.

29. Resize it to 500 width.  The height will adjust with it.

30. Adjust/sharpen.

Assignment:

1. Following the lesson above and send it in for credit

2. Follow the lesson using your own images and colors and send it in.
